Shop managers’ event ONLY Stores
Every year, ONLY Stores Holland organises a two-day event for all 150 shop managers across the Netherlands to launch the new seasonal collection. Engagement, connection and being together are the focus of these days. To keep up with the times, a different venue is chosen each year. This year, they’ve chosen De Rijtuigenloods. What attracted them to this venue and what are their experiences? Jedina Oosterling (shop manager) shares her experiences. Read onto learn more.
Jedina: “This two-day event always features a fun, interactive programme, including an artist and a hotel stay. This was the first time in three years that we could meet in person. The past two events were held with participants divided into small regional groups. But nothing is nicer than meeting everyone face-to-face!''
What attracted you to De Rijtuigenloods?
“We’ve always had a great love for industrial venues. What's more, the location is also central and easily accessible. A professional team behind the venue, capable of catering to our every need, was also crucial. The venue needed to have enough subspaces with an element of surprise. The lovely, historic railway carriages at De Rijtuigenloods ticked that box perfectly”, explains Jedina enthusiastically.
What was your event like?
“The entire event was held at De Rijtuigenloods. We began the first day with an opening plenary session, followed by a VR tour introducing our new shop concept. The shop managers were then split into groups to film a promotional video. The evening featured a dinner, an award show and a party, with a spectacular performance by Frenna!
The second day also began with a plenary session, followed by an interactive group activity. The shop managers had to do a scavenger hunt focused on competition, knowledge and inspiration. Using tablets, everyone was guided through the various themed rooms of De Rijtuigenloods. All rooms, or railway carriages of the shed, were dedicated to different products, like the winter or Christmas collections. It was super cool that all the train carriages were tailored entirely to this theme. Everyone was really impressed. To round off the event, there was an awards ceremony and goodie bags, and everyone left feeling tired but fulfilled.”
Cool programme! How do you guys look back on it?
“We look back on this event very positively. We saw numerous positive reviews online. The venue was also exceptional: clean, friendly staff at the event, and the communication beforehand was great. Most importantly, everyone was really impressed by the venue!”
