De Rijtuigenloods is an industrial event venue on a historic railway complex. Up to 2000 guests can easily be accommodated during your conference, trade fair or other corporate event. Authentic elements such as the original sleepers, shed roof, yellow and black industrial doors and the monumental train carriages give your guests the feeling that something special is happening here. The concrete floors and the raw steel ensure that the venue maintains its sturdy, rugged character.

De Rijtuigenloods

De Rijtuigenloods was built in 1904 and used by the Hollandsche IJzeren Spoorweg-Maatschappij to repair railway carriages. The building has been renovated and made more sustainable to offer modern-day facilities and comfort. With 16 rooms and subspaces, you’ll have all the space you need for your conference, trade fair or company party.

Why De Rijtuigenloods?

There are few major event venues that have as much character as De Rijtuigenloods. What’s more, the venue is located in the heart of the Netherlands and your guests can arrive at reception within five minutes of leaving Amersfoort Centraal station. So it’s easily accessible by public transport. With a floor surface of 3300 m2, you have all the space you need for your event. Is your party smaller? Not a problem! We can make the conference hall appear smaller, for example, or you can make use of one of the smaller rooms. So the venue really comes into its own for events for 200 or more attendees.

De Rijtuigenloods offers sustainability and industrial splendour

For a monumental building, De Rijtuigenloods is surprisingly sustainable and possesses Gold Green Key certification. The electricity is provided by solar panels on the roof, the temperature can be controlled per room, and the interior is made largely from recycled materials. LED lighting, movement sensors and a waste reduction programme reduce the environmental impact of the venue even more. And because it’s easy for your guests to arrive by train, this is the perfect central location for a sustainable event!
